certification of degree certificate

Hi,
Does anyone know who are the people authorized to certify copies of degree certificate and transcripts in Toronto as certified true copies and what are the charges?

certification of degree certificate
It depends on what you are using the certificates for. If you intend to study here you should find out what will be accepted by the program you are applying to as they might have very strict criteria about who can attest/certify your degree certificates or whether they would even accept such certificates. For example if you are applying for an educational program or a scholarship the university or funding body might not accept anything other than a sealed and signed transcript from the university that granted you your degree.
On the other hand if you have completed another educational program from here and had originally submitted your transcripts to the university in Canada, the program you are applying to might accept your foreign degrees if the local univeristy you did your studies from attests that the copies you are providing are true copies.

This is not for study, instead it is for degree assessment from 'engineers canada". Their requirement is that I should provide " certified copies of original certificate and transcripts"

Thank u PKalra. I have contacted the settlement agency in our neighbourhood (for the first time, probably I should have done it earlier) and they have referred to a "commissioner of oaths" for attestation. I have already fixed an appointment with him for the certification of copies and he confirmed that it is a free of charge service. Thank u once again.
