Hi

i have my windows Vista with IIS ver 7.0. I am trying to run my ASP script with MS-access Connection ODBC drivers (by creating System DSN)and i am getting an error message that :


Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005'
"The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data."

i tried taking help from internet and have tried my level best but could not able to connect to the database.

pls. if anybody has skills with ASP and VISTA troubleshooting pls. advice.

What identity is your app pool running under?
If it's the default, try changing the identity of the app pool and specify a user account that is part of the local Administrators group.
If that works, then it's a permissions problem.

IT IS -ApplicationPool Identity

i tried local service,l ocal system also but still the problem is the same.
