Somebody recently told me that you can buy a house in Georgetown only if you happen to be a Caucasian. Somehow, the residents of Georgetown have managed to keep out coloured people from their city. Even real estate brokers will avoid finding you a house in Georgetown.

Just wondering , how much shred of truth is there in this statement. The person who told me also deals in real estate.

This was actually said to me by a Gori.

Initially all of Brampton was white and once our people entered they could differentiate a Desi house and a Gora house by the our people hanging clothes outside.
Once one house displayed the clothes the rest of the Goras in the street put up their house for sale. Like people leave town during famine the Goras have left brampton and migrated North.

I still remember when I came to Canada I had gone to Brampton I had asked several desis for direction and everybody responded to me in Punjabi and they expected me to speak Punjabi.

If the statement might be a truth then let us wait for a wedge and the minute our Desi enters and hangs his clothes outside you'll see Georgetown, Orangeville and the cities north empty out in no time.

By the way where will they go they have to go uptil Quebec. The Francophones will stop them at the border. It'll be a unique sandwich of French/English/Punjabi and wont it be delicious?.

In Russell Peters words you can run now , but one day we will hump you and the world be BEIGE!.

I don’t think this is true as I have seen 100s of Goras hanging theirs cloths on cloth line outside the house, and that’s not only in GTA, I am talking about north as far as Sudbury and North Bay. It is not because of Desis all Ontario Municipalities made hanging cloths outside legal, they did it because of Goras.

My original question remains unanswered.

If Georgetown is ethnically "undiverse", I would really like to buy a house there

In Georgetown you can find colored people but not as many as in Mississauga, Brampton or Toronto. I dont know if I answered your question or not :)

One of my friend work in Georgetown, I can ask him and post here his opinion, if you want.
