Hi,
I am looking into buying a house or condo. I was wondering if somebody could point me to a link about any by laws about how many people can be accommodated, say in a 2 bedroom house?
Is this also enforced by the government?
Thanks
I do not have a direct answer for you.
I find that there seems to be NO limits to people living. In a Condo I've seen a family of 8 (parents and 6 children ranging from 14 years to 2 years) living in a 2 bedroom apartment in the heart of Mississauga.
Recently one of the letters to the editor to Mississauga NEWS pointed out that the property tax should not be based on the size of the property but the number of people who utilize the public services from that property.
This lady was living in a huge property and she pointed out that her neighbour(Desi) was running a settlement service out of his home with 3 to 4 people crammed per bedroom.
Honestly I need to salute you that you are first Desi who thought about adhering to the law, while the majority of the Desi's objective is to bypass the law.
