Hi,
I am posting this for a relative of mine, who is a recent immigrant to
Canada. She is an Electrical Engineering gradute from India. Have some teaching experience from an Engineering college there ( 1year). She has also done some computer programming back home( 1 year). She was not able to find a job of her background after landing here.Currently she is doing a $10 job, but planning to upgrade skills and take up some better job here.
Looking at the background and skills, she is planning to do some course here in Totonto. Based on the interest and chances of getting into a job, we selected Diploma program in Business Administration. She applied in Senecca, Humber and Centennial. One of them already offered admission for Sep 2009 program. We were not able to find any matching programs at Universities. Are they better ?
These full time programs have been selected in such a way that she will be eligible for Bachelor Degree program ( credits )after completing this.
Which one is better from these ?
Any relevant programs in Universities ?
Any suggestions ?
Any inputs from those who have gone through similar career transition would be very helpful.
With Regards
AdityaAkash
What is her occupational/ job goal in the end?
Its a good idea to look at one's end goal (career goal) and then identify steps to achieve that goal. That way you can determine what level of education is necessary.
