You are forgetting the root cause of it.
As long as students can return back home after study in Australia, all such problems will be gone. Australians will feel comfortable that no foreign student can take up their jobs. Student visa is just for the entry to that country. People actually go there to earn money. Do you think that education in Australia is better than in India?
You mean if the attacks were to happen here, then since we are taking away jobs from Canadian locals, then we should go back also?

I am not sure which newspaper reported a week ago that Australian universities are only after money. Also, the students who don't get admission anywhere else in the world (and in India too) get admitted in Aus. Universities. This is the reason you can see even a low ranking student from India these days is studying in Australia - money power, what else? Australian universities are promoting themselves in India aggressively as compared to their Canadian, US counterparts. This is no way denying that they do not have any right to study in Aus. if they invest. After all it's a first world and a developed country.

Why can't they shut down their entire visa and immigration program?
Problem will be solved once and for all.
Better yet, stop all foreigners from even entering the country - no tourist visa, no student visa, no immigration.
They will be very happy in their world Down Under.
And of course Ricky Ponting and Symonds can play with each other and and have a perfect gentlemen's game.

btw I saw a recent clip on BBC and its Australians of middle-eastern origin (lebanon) that attacked the indian students.
