Hi,

If I hold OCI on a Canadian passport and say live in India for like a year - do I have to file taxes in India?

Even thought I don't work their?

If my auditor is right, if you are getting rent and/or ineterest from FDs, I think you have to file for taxes even on OCI. Paying taxes and filing tax return are two different issues though.
