Hi folks,March30,09
I wanted to know (seriously) in one can find jobs in major Canadian cities in today's scenario.I see so many advt and job postings on the net, this Charcha classifieds,
jobs available,etc..

But what is the truth?

The real situation esp.in Toronto, for landed qualified immigrants from India as of today??
Does networking help to get a job esp. with Indian communities, esp thry Canadian desi?
Does a self 'demotion' from your current qualified status to do a lower cadre job helps, work?

What are 'survival jobs in Toronto? Are they still available??

This ISSUE also then focuses on paying attention to net/online opportunities like investments and daily trading in FOREX, the stock exchange, home jobs(online),etc...

I also read about increase in the minimum wages from April09 onwards?
Pl.share your view,suggestions,advice and links....

CAPRICO

Hi !
The job scenario is different in different sectors . IT is still more or less more stable than other sectors . If you have a particular skill set in IT , you may be able to find a job . Survival jobs are minimal at this time . These jobs were mainly on assembly lines ( factory jobs ) ..You can also look for a security guard jobs where u will get the minimum pay and can study further while on the job .
Networking is the key factor to find a job . Lot of jobs are not even advertised .
I will be PARTIALLY right to say that do not expect many desis to recommend in their own company .. WE like to recommend ppl to other companies ..(CD's Please correct me if I am wrong ) .
If you are good with Forex trading you can make substantial money . CD's like investpro / Chandresh / Frediie and more can throw better light on it ..
Feel free to drop your querry ..Most of us will try to reply you and help you honestly.
Good luck
Ashwani
