But then the fact of the matter is that they do lack infrastructure and a lot of that is because of government policies.

Did you know that there are thousands of whites work/live in Delhi?

I lived in Riyadh too. I would rate it the worst in the world. I was hardly happy despite the money. Worst by all means.

I don’t know about other cities, but Bangalore definitely deserves to be on the list.
I’ve lived in Bangalore for 4 years and the traffic and sanitation in the city is a mess. It takes hours to drive through a few city blocks during peak hours and at times I used to walk to work to avoid all these chaos.
The Bangalore metro rail project is still under construction stage when this project should have been implemented decades ago.
The new International airport is located 40 km outside the city and it takes around 3 hours to reach the city from the airport whereas the flight duration between Chennai-Bangalore itself is less than an hour. What a joke of infrastructure?
As check-in for international flights start 3 hours prior to the departure time, an international traveler has to start at least 5 hours prior to the departure time to reach Bangalore airport and clear all the check in/immigration formalities and board the flight on time. Even the travelers to JFK Airport, the busiest airport in the world, don’t go through such an ordeal to reach the airport.
In 2004, Infosys, Wipro and a few other software companies had threatened to quit Bangalore owing to the city’s poor infrastructure (Refer link below).

The situation still remains the same and the only achievement of the Karnataka govt. with regards to Bangalore was the renaming of the city from “Bangalore” to “Bengaluru”. That’s it! Their mission has been accomplished and everybody went back to their deep slumber.
