I am trying to get info on Vancouver Film school (VFS). A friend of mine is trying to come to VFS from Bangalore. Also want to know what is cost of living in that area. He has to pay on his own.

There are also room rentals and short term rentals too. One has to make a selection suitable to their pockets and needs. There are penthouses that go for twice the prices posted. So please do the search to suit the needs of the people.
Some commuting might become necessary if they are living far away from the School they are attending.
