its a 2 part series.. you can watch part 2 next sunday march 22nd at 8:30 PM.

i missed to watch the show...however, being asked by my coworker as to what india is all about...got alerted if the same concept has been picturized as Slum dog millioner, i personally am not impressed with all the global recognition it received by focusing / picturizing the somewhat minute face of the large community...oh, well at the same time, i feel that if i was a foreigner, my set of eyes would have been different either...but yes, as per what i hear from coworker, it did not seem to be the level one indian would have wanted to be...
not to mention, i clarified on her confusions of the show and realities based on my own perception....
I personally do not worry about a European or North American layman's opinion about India. The socio political history of India is so complicated that you have to be an Indian to understand it. Don't forget that not too long ago the whites were killing the Red Indians, then they were killing each other in WW2 and the blacks were still considered as not equal as late as 1980's.

Is this series available online, like in Youtube, Metacafe etc..?
Let us say a paper in Canada calls India a bloody filthy rotten slum. What irks you? That you have been implicitly bracketed because of your origin? Just remind yourself that "you no longer live there".
Watch "The Story of India", a BBC production. There are other threads about this. Give that a shot and it should assuage your fears a bit....
