Summer retreat for retired parents

Both my parents are recently retired and living in New Delhi.
I would like to arrange some type of summer retreat for them to get away from the heat and humidity of Delhi during the summer months of May - July.
Ideally in places like Dehradun, Darjeeling, etc. - i.e. relatively medium sized cities with modern conveniences yet more laid back and obviously cooler than New Delhi.

Any suggestions, please.

In addition, I will need to arrange a furnished guest house or flat for them to stay in for about 3 - 4 months and ideally arrange for a caretaker for looking after things like grocery shopping and maybe even cooking.

Has anyone done something like this in India recently or can provide ideas and suggestions on how to go about organizing something like this?
Which cities should I be looking at, to start with?
And then how do I go about finding a place for them to live in and organize a caretaker?

Thanks all
