Dear Friends , is there a chance for me with 18 years of experience in Sales & Marketing to get ajob in Mid East , i am in Canada for the last 1 month on Work Permit i plan to apply for my PR and then go to the mid east fora marketing job . Can i apply for the job from Canada and what are my chances of success . Your advise will be highly appreciated .

Could be because i have not given any details of my back ground and education .
Am a Commerce graduate ( Costing ) with additional Bachelor of Law ( Company Law ) degree and PG Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations . My experience is 18 years in Sales and marketing ( FMCG & IT ) and 3 years in Legal /Admin & IR .

Ofcourse you can try your luck here. As i wrote before follow those points. I have given some recuitement agencies, send your resume in these agencies. I think you will definitely get good job becoz of your experience.

Hi Guys,

I am also Can Desi, an Engineer by Profession working in Dubai.

I migrated to Canada in 2002, stayed with family for 6 months and came back to Dubai. Since my experience is basically related to petrochemicals and Oil Industry, it suits better in ME.

I struggled for 6 months in Canada and when I came back to Dubai with Canadian address I got 50% better offer.

Interesting part is that when I had applied for several jobs in Middle East while in canada giving Canadian address, they offered me big salary, once I had disclosed that I still have Indian passport, offer was with drawn.

Hence Desis, unless you have obtained Canadian Passport dont even think of going there, because having Can passport you belong to previleged category.

I am not trying to be racial or anything, but UK/US/ CAN passport is for name sake only,they want basically Eurpoeans. If you are of Indian origin you should have English accent and Europen outlook, the you might succeed.

Try registering in some placement agencies or search"Jobs in Dubai" and you will find some good web sites.

I wish I had obtained Canadian Passport now and would be earning double what I am earning now.

Unlike in Canada, in Middle East there is no salary structure, you could get any amount if you are in the right place, right time.

One of my friend is getting 4 time more in Saudi Arabia than what he was getting with Indian Passport in same country just because of his Canadian passport.

A very valid reason to go back to the ME once you get your Canadian Citizenship
