U dont need to have ROE to apply for EI. Fill in the EI form with as many details as u have and then when u get the ROE send it to them.
Some companies directly submit ROE to Service canada so even if it comes late it should be ok.
I would suggest Apply for EI right away and wait 3-4 weeks before calling the employer for ROE

Hi guys,
Had a quick question.
My last day of work was 24th feb, 2009. However, I hav'nt received my ROE
yet. Should I call my employers to find out, or just give it a few more days.
Thanks in advance for your advice

Did you find another job?
All the best!
Dear Cd's,
I have been invited for an Interview on Tuesday (march. 31st.). I am planning to hide the fact that I was fired from my previous employment but going to tell them that I am currently employed. The place of my interview is 20 kms from my residence whereas my previous job was 105 kms. I am going to tell them that I am looking for a new job to lessen my commute distance.
Is there any way that my prospective employer can find out that I am currently not employed?
Peace by TK
Side note : I had already been interviewed by them a year back but then they could not offer the $ 15 per hour that I requested, back then.

TK i wish u good luck for ur interview and 31st march by coincidence is my birthday too. its a lucky day. well be frank with the new employer, better tell them you had been laid off as company is downsizing instead of u had been fired -Sometimes for references purposes they can call ur previous company. Best luck
TK ..This is the best time to claim that you had been laid off due to 'Slow Economy" .
I would strongly recommend to be as truthful as you can ...
I hope things will work out for you positively ..
Best of luck
