Etobicoke is considered to be one of the safer areas of the GTA .. and a desirable place to stay plus central location plus TTC access ..... if the price difference is only 15% , I d prefer Etobicoke .

Since this thread is largely related with Brampton Real Estate , we would be digressing if we discuss Apartments here ... There s a very good thread on CD on Apartments in Etobicoke which might help you and you can add on your query there so that related people can respond and information can be kept in one place . Thanks .

Fido, thanks for your feedback.
Below is what i learnt after talking to Realtor and few other people about it.
Please let me know your comments:
1. Houses are quite old in Etobicoke. ( more then 10 years)
2. Lot sizes are smaller.
3. Not as safe as other areas.
TK as usual thanks for your suggestion/advice.
I havent looked at Ajax and Pickering till now but will do that in next few weeks.
I guess if i move there i will be closer to work but then quite far from friends and family (Mississauga and Brampton) .
My commute to Scarborough is better now, it takes me around 45 minutes from Bramley city center, so its not that bad, but on bad days it is double.

Mumbai Maazi Ladki ...
What I understood as 15% difference was on a one to one comparison. I am not sure about the other factors but Etobicoke is not bad safety wise , one of the safer areas in Toronto , has nice neighborhood , is slightly far from Down Town (open area somewhat ) , still well connected with TTC and centrally located to Toronto , Brampton & Mississauga ......
I understand the prices here for a similar house should be > 25% than Brampton . The area I stay in has got all million dollar homes .
