Finally someone at top is talking (I hope not 'just' talking). It is still 'may' :(

"Why would we entertain Pakistani business people? Why would we entertain tourists in India? Why would we send tourists there?"

India may snap business links with Pak: Chidambaram

Yeah. And this announcement will make Gilani and Zardari shiver in their pants.

I think the sympathy tide that grew for India in November is over. World is back into its routine life. Now the Obama swearing in ceremony will grab most of the headlines.

And based on pure numbers, how much does India and Pakistan suffer when these links are severed? How about the lobby of the exporters who export their stuff to Pakistan - how will they react? How about the Indian manufacturers that import raw material from Pakistan? I am in total agreement with what Chidambaram said, but would his words hold against the vested interests?

The height of hypocrisy came when Manmohan first condemned Israel's action against Hamas and then gave a warm welcome to Afghan president. He still seems to care more about the vote bank than the national interests.

I think, Export to Pakistan is more than Import ... and even than - it should not deter Chidambaram to implement anything... and please - STOP THE F#$%ing TRAIN.

Oh. Just read this  :( . This is an insult to all the innocent lives lost in 26th Nov attack as well as an insult to their families as well as all the policeman and Indian commandos who helped fight the terrorists.

Guess which song Manmohan must be singing these days

"Kitne Bhi To Kar Le Situm, Has Has Ke Sahenge Hum
Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam, Sanam Teri Kasam"

Indian leaders past & present are obsessed getting the 'most liberal', 'most tolerant' tag. They also crave to get the Nobel Peace Price. Getting praised by western nations for their 'liberalism' is some thing they like best and will do anything and everything including selling the nation to get their goal.
Look at it this way. If they have to give a befitting reply to Pakistan, then that means they become accountable and that is a difficult task which may put them in a tight position where they have to plan, think, impliment policies and justify them to the world. The easier option is to just accept the defeat and preach peace. After all it is not the PM himself or his family that's being killed or harmed by terrorists.
By this drama they are passing the buck the next govt to deal with the problem. This a perfect recipe for a bigger disaster waiting to happen. Or else we would'nt have these terror incidents which are more and more daring in their intensity but also frequency. The problem can only get worse before it gets any better.

I fail to understand that why do they have to justify to the world? They are answerable to Indians who place them. But we have heard this phrase lot of times before in Mahabharat & Ramayan ... "Itihas kya kahega?"

BTW, Guess which movie Manmohan must be watching these days -

Lage Raho Munnabhai ...
