I want to buy a house without a real estate agent to save buyer's agent commission. I know I can do following things:
1. Look MLS.ca and call the seller's agent and ask him to become my agent so that I can further negotiate.
2. Contacting seller directly and keep the agents aside..
But, How can I know the real price of house? Can I get information from real estate board about the history of house (means when and how many times this house is sold and at what price?)
How to find 'POWER OF SALE' Houses without agent's help?
Thanks for your comments...

I hope RE professionals/experts will ans your Q. Here is some prediction that you trust more than experts.

So, my 2009 predictions stand: Vancouver - 21, Victoria -18, Kelowna - 38, Edmonton -16, Calgary -15, GTA -14%. This will bring our big-city decline from the peak in late 2007 to the end of 2009 to about 25%.
