Let us know if any of you have received a reply to your letters.
Maybe they went out too late in the day and you might receive a response today, or if any of you included your phone numbers, maybe a call.
No letters on the art were published in the star today. Most of the letters were on the crisis in Ottawa.

why not just send this link to the Star's editor or the publisher Don Babick.

ask them to take the time to read all 3 pages and also let them know Canadiandesi was voted tops by Yahoo.

why not send it to Sabi Marwah of Scotiabank who sits on the board of both Torstar and Scotiabank.

No mention of Kashmiri pandits being killed on a daily basis. Stock exchange bombing conveniently portrayed as "retaliation". And then out of the blue, a mention of Christian-Hindu "savagery" in ORISSA??? huh??
4. The summary of why the attacks happened mention nothing about the extremist factions who have hijacked Islam and their distorted agenda that is swimming in pure evil. NOTHING. NOT ONE LINE MENTIONING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS IN THE WHOLE FREAKING ARTICLE THAT SUPPOSEDLY TALKS ABOUT A TERRORIST ATTACK IN MUMBAI!!!

I would also count the attack on Indian parliament among the worst terrorist attacks in India, even though no major damage was done.
Also, equally significant, was the highjack of the Indian Airlines plane into Afghanistan and the demand for the release of Massood Azhar (sp?) one of the main LeT terrorists, perhaps as dangerous as Osama.
And India subsequenrly giving in and releasing him.

Any analysis or account that does not take into account the fact that dangerous terrorists are using our neighbouring country as a safe haven (with or without active govt. sponsorship) cannot be called objective.
And it is indeed a fact, let there be no question about it - there are numerous CIA and MI6 files, satellite images and other type of tracking that leave no shadow of doubt where these terrorist training camps are located and the free, unquestioned movement of terrorists into and out of our neigouring country.

I'm willing to invest significant time over the next week or so to make some of the above things happen, but obviously can't do it unless others chip in.

Here's my ask of you.

1. For the above tasks, first post ideas on how best we can have our voice heard, I'm more than open to suggestions and disagreements with my points above. We should agree on this by Thursday.
2. Once the action items are finalized, people will have to take ownership of Individual items. All it'll take is about 4-5 dedicated people to get this rolling and by mid-next week, we can deploy all the communications.

Post ideas on the thread. PM me if you feel this is a strong enough cause to volunteer some time.

My time is good.
Lemme know what you need done.

Also the publisher's email is: "dbabick@thestar.ca"
