way to go seenappa!
it would be great if you initiate this writing letter to TO Star, just writing to him won't serve the purpose...one must do this, let the city know....discussing on this forum is not enough...wow...this is what is all about, see how daring they are....
Not surprised,
all media around world is supporting this terrorism
No one is talking about who is responsible & where roots originates
Be practical & accept WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
I have been very disappointed by the views of some of the members in this Forum.
I think our discussion should focus on issues not blame/Figure pointing on each other religions.
Cuz you cant define Religion by "SOME EXTREMIST WRONG DOINGS"
THERE ARE EXTREMIST IN EVERY RELIGION, AND THEY WORK FOR THIER OWN PERSONAL BENEFITS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT PPL LIKE US WHO WORK TO PUT FOOD ON TABLE FOR OUR FAMALIES,
EVERY RELIGION IN THE WORLD HAS SAME TEACHING... LOVE , CARE AND RESPECT FOR EVERY ONE.
I wrote a pretty strongly worded letter as well. Not to this Haroon guy, but to the TO Star chief editor.
I've asked them to pull the article. If they don't, do it by end of day today, we CDs should follow up with further action. I have some ideas and will share them later today.
Freddie,
I don't agree that ignoring him is the answer. Bias is one thing but shameless bias in the face of a tragedy like the one in Mumbai is a pretty potent mix for provocation. He needs a response and I think the SA community in Toronto should give him one he'll remember. You have to be a heartless bastard to try to stoke controversy in this atmosphere and we have to make his management realize that.
What good is a forum like CD if we can't have one voice when we need one? Let's marshall some support and raise awareness about this guy and his bias.
I'm seriously thinking about pulling 2/3 of his articles as example and sending pretty detailed letters to TorStar (Toronto Star's managing company) corporate governance team and senior execs. Have some other thoughts too, I'll write them later tonight.
One thing I will point out though is let's be fair and objective in our effort. The stuff he's mentioned in his article isn't entirely off mark, there were some attrocities against Muslims. However that's not the point, the apalling thing about the article is the one-sidedness and insensitivity to a gravely hurt SA community.

Are you there?
