Here's an article by Haroon Siddiqui. If you scroll down his list of last 50-60 articles published, almost all of them concern with muslim angst save two or three articles. This guy is absolutely biased. Never mentions about genocide of Kashmiri Pandits. Never mentions who controls the mob in Mumbai and India. Never mentions muslim community's reluctance in participating in secular India's legal system, but they rather insist upon a mysogynistic sharia. It's all evil hindoos fault.

He's a liar who hides behind fudged numbers. He's a coward who does not admit his own communitiy's shortcomings or even worse a wolf(jehadist) hiding under the sheep's(liberal) clothing. Gora management at Star seems to be the old money of Toronto, with a colonial hangover of carrying on white man's burden. Our friend seems to do their bidding.

Would Italians allow such slander to their community without a backlash? Would jewish people take to such slight? Or anybody else for that matter? We should not be apathetic. Lets boycott STAR for its biased, agenda driven reporting and unprofessionalism. Citizens freedom of expression on the flip side carries with it the right to switch our TV's off and discontinue newspapers that discard objectivity and spew garbage. Asking for factual reporting is not unreasonable.

I have written time and again knocking this guys views. Several letters have been published.
I have since a couple of years ceased to read his articles.
Anyway The Star is in my opinion not a good newspaper but it is the best we got in GTA unless you're into 2nd tier stuff like NOW and Eyeweekly(again owned by The Star).

I have heard of this (Diqqui) Dickie. Just to tell you more on his writing, he thinks that all of us are blind and an Elephant has five legs and one is a surplus one and hence it is free and dangling. You cannot make him change his opinion nor show him the day light. The Muslim community that he is associated with adores him. So, he is still in business. He is also a head of the group of lenders, and you guessed it right.

The best part is his opinion is what that matters. He is the editor meritorious. He thrives on creating controversies. Never ever will respond back. So, leave him in his corner to rot. I ignore him altogether.

the worst part was when I read the comments in todays newspaper regarding his articles.

All the comments were from muslim people & none of the hindu or other community people's comment were even posted. They think that the canadians are blind & cannot notice this conspiracy. One of my colleague (a born english canadian) showed me the part & was laughing at their community for supporting this guy. He was even laughing at Toronto Star for publishing all the muslim supported comments.

LET'S ALL MASS EMAIL THEM.

Dear Mr. Haroon Siddiqui,

This letter is in reference to your November 30th article titled 'Mumbai's great spirit will help city rise above terror attacks'…where scores of innocents have been slaughtered by Islamic terrorists.

Your first half of the column goes towards waxing eloquently about your love for the city and how dear the city is to your heart. We are touched!

Then slowly and craftily you slip into 'your' account of history about how peace loving Muslims have suffered at the hands of Hindus, erroneously recollecting Ayodhya, Kashmir, Gujarat, Mumbai riots.
Not one word of who started the killings in the first place. No mention of Gujarat train burnings. No word about killing of entire generations of Kashmiri pundits. Not even a footnote about thousands of bomb blasts setup by the followers of 'religion of peace'. Nope. These facts are conveniently buried as the focus is entirely on 'poor, helpless Muslims'.

Who was responsible for Mumbai attacks? According to you, it is 'anybody’s guess'.
For your kind information, a captured live Pakistani terrorist is singing like a canary. You seemed to have very conveniently left this information off.

Whom are you trying to fool here, Mr. Siddiqui?

I can understand your motivation as a person of Muslim faith to project your people in a very positive and angelic light.

But the editorial staff of a popular newspaper like Toronto Star has an obligation to its readers and the general public in publishing unbiased facts and truthful reports from unbiased Columnists. Sadly, Toronto Star has failed all of us in this aspect.
