and the rumor I am hearing is that Prince Alwaleed and a consortium of Saudis are gonna take Citigroup over first- then the Aaronsons will drive it down to 'zero' and then take it over- impoverishing the Saudis.
The end game is to have all the ME money take over the institutions in the US and then the US will drive that moolah to zero and then buy back from the ME at extremely low value and send them 'chicdoms' to 'sh%tdoms'.
Please don't quote me but that is the thought processes going on with some heavies - though qui sait?
Sounds like a typical US game plan though. Can their ingenuity pull it off?
It is said that the US gave 'dheel' to Japan and then started the 'lapat' from which Japan is still 'reeling'(using 'patang' lingo here with 'lapat' meaning other than 'dhaap').
But then the US is proficient in both kinds of 'lapat'.

My father called me from India last night saying there is news/rumour everywhere that Citibank is going belly-up.
There's essentially a "bank run" going on there.
I have initiated the withdrawal of whatever I had in an NRI account with Citibank.
I have mostly used it for sending money to my family in India when needed, so it's not much, but I would hate to lose it obviously.

well kinda looks like the US govt is gonna dive in to save Citigroup and help Prince Alwaleed.
Last Citi was in trouble during the Harshad Mehta debacle, Prince Alwaleed also pumped his money in.
It is said he made his billions mainly from investing in Citi's stocks.
strange thing though is that worldwide massive lay-offs to total 52,000, they are hiring here in Mississauga.
Thanks a lot guys for your advise ..
Its too late for Citibank now ..I already pulled my 5945 Rs today ..
