Any one remember 'Tele Games'?

Used to thoroughly enjoy watching those.

On cable there was 'Crystal Maze'.

There was a serial called 'Dil Dariya' with SRK which was also worth watching.

I wish i could see doordarshan in canada. They have quality programs. All the other private channels like Zee, sony have crap soaps about family figts and all with the same story which never seem to end.

I miss the commercials of India. They are so slick and professional. The commercials on ATN in Canada are so sick and amateurish. It seems some
moron has made them. Specially the one commercial of madras Dosa Hut.

I totally agree... I would love to watch Doordarshan serials here...

Another one of my favorites was HUM PAANCH, this was hilarious... Not that old, but yet...

Sadia Siddiqui (Sharukh Khan's sister in Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa)..as Angoori...
It is basically set in a rural environment...and this serial won an Emmy award also !

Missed this one here. Does not ring a bell, what year was this on approximately?

BL I dunno which year but it was prolly 1993-1994..That year Zee Tv had just entered the Indian cable market. This was a serial on doordarshan...It was based in a rural setting. Gopi Desai is a social worker...and she is into all goody goody things. Saadiya Siddiqui is a 12 year old (thats what she enacts in the serial) and he name in that was Angoori... The villain in the serial was Hetram (played by the Late Gyan shivpuri...)..he believes in maintaining the status quo and always tries to foil all efforts made by Gopi Desai..
