Has anyone who has a US CPA recently applied for and been evalued for registering with CGA, Ontrio?

I would like to know what is the latest on recongnition of CPA by CGA Ontario. Do they get a level 3 exemption or level 4 or something more than 4.

You have to write Tax1, PA1 and PA2 Challenge Examination. It is advanced level - after level 4

Just to reconfirm - is this the latest position? Two years back a CPA was supposed given exemption only for level 4 which means he had to write I think 4 different papers besides the last two you have mentioned.

Yes, I was told this by my friend who just wrote TX1 on Sept 3. He has paid fee for PA 1 in December. He said he had to write PA2 as well.

I will reconfirm tomorrow and let you know

I think CGA Association grants exemptions on course by course basis..
I know one CPA who has to write 6 papers.. While other has to write 4...
Probably latter's other qualifications (CA, CWA from India) would have helped him get additional exemptions..

My Question, what exemptions CGAs get if they want to pursue CPA...
Please don't suggest "go and check rules of all the states"...

Here are the facts about my friend:

Have to write three challenge exam. TX1, PA1 and PA2

He is CA from India and CPA from Colarodo state.

Additional document - He got a letter from Colaroda state Board of accountancy that he is a member in good standing.

Hope this will help.
