Hi

Can you please explain the purpose of posting these? These are US jobs and mostly available from job search sites, are they not?

If you're posting roles that are not commonly available and/or relevant to the CD audience, its worthwhile. What would really help are open positions that are not posted in a public domain, however are known to you (someone has already started a similar thread).

I don't see the value in posting so many US jobs though, especially considering they are probably available through dice/monster/other searches.

@BlueLobster, The jobs are for people looking to move out to US and local jobs here in GTA/London/Kitchener/Waterloo area. People have posted in past to figure out how to work on TN1. I can stop posting if you think people aren't interested. Why should I waste my time if people are not interested in real jobs rather than phantom jobs posted on Dice/Monster.

As I had mentioned earlier, these jobs are REAL and in past that's how I used to get contracts while working in the states. This should explain why I post more jobs from the states as I have more contacts there than here in canada. OK no more posts unless until people request me to post.

You can delete the thread.

Thanks

It is really useful.
If you can post more Canadian IT jobs it would be still more helpful.

I'm not going to delete this thread, as well not doubting your intentions to help. My only point is, go ahead and post jobs that you know of that are not generally available publicly. For example, if I'm looking for a "lotus notes developer" position in the states, I can go to dice, type this up and gets literally dozens and dozens of postings. Similar thing for Cdn job boards, although the availability is not as much.

If you know that the emails you get are not posted on major job sites, Its really worthwhile. Otherwise, what'll happen is you'll have a ton of listings here without the advanced search capabilities of job boards, and people won't be able to use them much.

Lastly, Cdn. positings will be a lot more relevant. Sure, there's people looking for jobs in the US, but the majority of CD users are looking in Canada.
