It is a clerical position dominated by females. Most probably you will be working a doctor's office as a secretary. What are the chances it is going to fetch you over $15 an hour, I cannot say. In a hospital, you would earn a bit more!

Technical courses like x-ray tech are longer term courses but salary and prospects are good too.

Hello Raj
Thank you very much for your replies . I completely agree with you but the problem is that I am not qualified to take X Ray or ultrasound Tech courses .
I myself want to spend money and time on something that has brighter future .

If you a female, it will be easier to be accepted as a medical secretary.

Did you look into other technical courses they offer like dental assistant, pharmacy assistant, etc.?

I am a female . I am looking into different programmes too . Right now I was getting too many negative comments about medix school . So i thought may be someone from CD has first hand experience . I am open to join another school if I am atall accepted .

Which course are you talking about?

why dont u consider doing other course : Medical & General Lab Assistant or Pharmacy Assistant - u can obtain licence after working for 1 or 2 years and fetch much more money than Medical Office assistant

Chosing a career it not easy, ask them about other courses and then take your decision.

you may also wanna consider taking advice from other college , such as Everest, Trio etc...
