Saw on the dvd. Not bad at all. Sometimes dragging. Heavy Texan accent, sometimes hard to understand. Javier Bardem won the oscar for the best supporting actor for this movie. No wonder. Even Josh Brolin has done a great job. Good actions.

For those who saw the movie. Who got the money in the end? Bardem? Jones?

Your movie title reminded me of different topic

Canada wants you (young person) to immigrate, but makes it very difficult for your Parents to immigrate.

Looks like Canada government doesn't want old people (even when you can prove that you can support your old parents with your income!)

Recently in Newstalk 1010 CFRB (Radio) show in the morning , when the host was discussing a topic, a woman called up the Bill caroll show and said that with all the immigrants, sponsering their old parents, that they were clogging up the health system not unable to provide quality health care for people who were born , raised and who worked their whole lives in Canada.
May be that is one of the reason why the govt. may not want old people.

I saw this movie in theatres. The movie is pretty gripping but with a very sloppy end. All critics liked this movie, but for a layman like me, the movie starts with a bang but ends with a whimper

It isn't supposed to be conclusive and there's something left to your own imagination. But the ending was so anti-climactic. It had my adrenaline going, and just as I tried to seat myself properly so as to be not blown away by what was going to happen, the credits started to role. Booooo!!

As for the Oscars, I think it was a case of "Jala gaon, jo bacha wohi mukhia"

To think of it, if I remember right, Llewelyn Moss threw the bag in a field that had a fence. Carson Wells while walking next to the fence, stood on the parapet wall on the road and looked into the field.. After then I did not understand who took the money. Folks on the imdb board think that Chigurh found the money.

The joke I liked was when Moss tells Carla Jean that if he does not come back (he was going back to the desert to give water to the Mexican driver, I think), she was to tell his mom that he loved her. She replies that his mom is already dead. Then Moss says that he will tell his mom himself. May be a cowboy joke.

Sorry to hijack this thread but while on the note of last year's movies - my wife and I watched Juno. We liked it. Very tastefully done. Of course, one look at my own daughter wiped the smiles off my face.
