Quite often I come across people proudly saying, I have a job in India. I can understand that if a person is not sure Canada is a place for them or not and want to try before leaving the permenant good job in India, but there are people who are here for 3 years and still haven't resigned from their Indian jobs.
Is this fare?
1. If a person resigns any one of our brothers/sisters back-home can get a job.
2. Our service sector will have shortage of staff (practically), whereas on paper they will have enough staff.
I never worked in Government, but there should be a rule to terminate someone's employment if a person is absent for a specified time.
Anybody have ideas?

A Proud Indian Canadian
I know of atleast two people here in the US who are doing that. One is a Police Officer who has been on an extended leave for the PAST 5 Years!!! The other gentleman is an Army Officer who is abusing the compassionate leave that the Indian Army gives. He has been here for almost two years now. Both these guys work in the IT field, have good salaries and still get paid in India from their Jobs there.
