If it becomes a hit in the first year, it could spread to other major cities. May be boys will stop their education and concentrate on cricket as there is quick and good money to be made. Look at Ishant Sharma. He is only 20 and was auctioned for $950k. So why bother getting a college degree. Make a quick buck and get out.

ponting is a such a crying baby...i still remember the way he acted in the second test..he almost had tears in his eyes .
A few of the Indian cricketers slapping each other and threatening each other at different stadiums while playing this IPL 20/20 as per the recent news. This is mainly for big money? How they will play together for an International cricket in other countries if they are fighting each in their homeland? Do they have unity, team sprit, and sportsmanship, at least decency in the public place or just the money in their dirty blood? I do not think they have intelligence? This is the right time to ban cricket in India and people should withdraw and discontinue their blind supports? India has lots other priorities to develop the nation if they are interested.

I think that's extreme you're talking about. As for the team spirit, unity, and sportsmanship is concerned then Domestic and International is totally different ball (and bat) game. Just few incidences are not enough to malign the sportmanship prevailing in higher percentage of the good players.
India has indeed a lot of other priorities in order to develop as a nation. Undoubtedly. However, you can't mix sports and other areas when it comes to the growth. Africa always grab few Olympic Golds in athletics, but look at the country. Where they are?
Let them just have fun. I am sure everyone's enjoying the current domestic series.
Obviously, the bottom line in each profession (including Cricket) is money. Who can deny that? The difference is we are getting paid in thousands and the sportsmen, in millions.
