hello everyone, my 2 year dimploma(in automobile engineering) will be completed this year (2008). i want to continue my studies in canada from the 3rd year through credit or gp transfer.

can anyone give me advise.
1. should i take a visit visa to canada and on my visit i should change my status there.

2. should i apply for student visa here in japan.

(becouse i think i will have problem to show my funds.its not that i cannot pay my expensis but its hard for me to show my funds in japan)

i will be highly thankful if anyone can help me in this matter.

Firstly you should research if any university would give you admission and whther Japanese diploma is recognized here

What is your nationality and age? Getting visit visa is dependent on lot of factors apart from nationality and age. Because many people tend to do like what you said (come on visit visa and stay back), sometimes genuine visitors with genuine intention to visit and go back get their visa applications rejected (unfortunately)

If you can show funds anywhere in the world, it should be fine.
