hey,
I was wondering is anyone here immigrated to Canada through one immigration agency Canada service? Are they reliable and hwo are their services?

We will be probably scheduled for the Canadian Immigration interview in Los Angeles ,USA (WE live in the United States currently). What kind of questions can we expect ? and what are the things that we should be responsible for knowing for the interview?

I am an old client of on immigration agent and I was not at all satisfied with their services!
As far as their post landing service is concerned they charge more than $600 per month(2 years back ,shared accomodation)and can provide you only heavy lifting labour job which you can find yourself easily .If you are in USA and scheduled for interview I would say don't waste money to consultancy firm.If you need any post landing help/info this website will be able to give you necessary info.
If you have solid background(educational,service,financial) I don't see any problem in passing the interview...the officer might even chat with you that time

Did you bother doing a search in the existing matter before posting your question? There's enough feedback provided by enough people in previous threads about them and that too from both perspectives.

I believe you have 'High Hope' from them. I came thru them in 2001. Even though I had all the eligibility points but somehow I was worried: "What if I don't get VISA because of any reason?", so I made up my mind to come thru them as I did not want to face rejection after waiting for 3 years. Moreover the impression these guys had given me that if I applied thru them, the procesing time will be reduced drastically like to 1 year whereas this was all BU****IT. They do not have any thing to do with the processing time. You will be surprised to know that at the time of my interview in New Delhi, the officer asked me why did I apply thru them? I told him that I was given an impression that they had some tie-up with you and he replied:'If you want, you can give us a written complaint about that and we will take action" but then my dad advised me not to take 'PUNGA'.
As regards to post landing services, I am really thankful to them because they gave me a chance TO MEET DIFFERENT PEOPLE thru these services. I used to live at 3425, Morning Star in Malton and over there I made many friends. I am not talking about the quality and cleanliness of the apartment where we were staying. It was our choice so no complaints. I, PERSONALLY, DID NOT HAVE ANY HIGH HOPES FROM THESE GUYS AFTER MY INTERVIEW SO I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.

At that time, they had some customer service manager who offered a job to my wife in their own office. Worth noticing: "THE JOB WAS 6 DAYS A WEEK.....MONTHLY SALARY $1500 GROSS.....NO HOURLY RATES......JOB TIMING WERE TOLD AS FROM 9.00 AM TILL...NO IDEA.....COULD BE 7PM OR 8 PM OR 9 PM.......THAT MANAGER TOLD MY WIFE THAT THERE IS FIXED TIME TO COME BUT NO FIXED TIME TO GO, YOU WILL HAVE TO SIT WITH ME.....
We did not feel comfortable with that and refused the offer.

After few days, we went to their office because they had told that if you want your Resumes to be printed, come to our office and we will get it done within 5 minutes for you. We waited for 2 hours and we were told that no computer/printer is free for 'customers'. I went to the Customer Service Manager and asked him if he could get me the print outs because no computer was free for 'customers'. He was kind enough to walk with me to one of the staff members but again, same thing. He advised me that I had to wait for another half an hour to get 4 pages printed. That time, I lost my patience and told him that Mr.......(I don't want to name him but he had opened his own immigration company in association with some 'Black' lawyer), I have been waiting here for last two and half hours just to get few print outs. It was not me who is piling on but it was you who invited me, in case I needed some print outs. Moreover, I am your customer and I had paid your company Rs. 100,000 for the services. I was really shocked, stunned and surprised....and what not when he started shouting at me, abused me (literally......sister...mother.....) saying that: "You did not oblige ME by paying Rs. 100,000. You paid fees and them brought you here. THATS ALL! IF YOU THINK THAT WE ARE BECOMING 'CROREPATI' WITH YOUR RS. 100,000, FORGET THAT. I told him that that was not the way to talk to somebody who is calling you with respect as I called him Mr.........(last name). He replied back that if you want to fight with me, come downstairs and I will see you. This is my office and I will drag you naked!!
Oh my GOD! I was really pissed off......you can imagine.....new immigrant....three months.....no job......no car.....living in basement......getting rejections from all good companies.....searching job as full time job and then if you have to listen to such words.........just imagine.
I told him that I will complain against him to Mr. Gian Paul (Head) and he started laughing saying that 'Gian Paul mera kya ukhaad lega?'. After waiting for another half an hour, I met Mr. Gian Paul and explained him everything. He called that gentleman in the room, that gentleman still did not apologize but it was Mr. Paul who apologized and assured me that he will be in constant touch with me and he will ask somebody from his office to get me and my wife some leads for the jobs. It all happened in April-May 2001 and till date, I am still waiting for some 'leads for labour jobs'. That was the last time when I had gone to their office.
I don't have any grudges against any body. Infact I did not have any great expectations from them so there is no question of 'heart break'.

My suggestion to you would be: DON'T COUNT ON THEM OR FOR THAT MATTER...ANYBODY. PREPARE YOURSELF TO FACE ANY KIND OF SITUATION. YOU MAY GET BETTER JOBS THAN THE JOBS THEY MIGHT OFFER YOU BUT YOU ARE THE BEST JUDGE!!!!

Hi Lobster
I thought we should share info not to that person only but to every other members so that every new potential immigrant can take decesion properly before taking up consultancy firm service.There are also some good lawfirm and peple might be encouraged to share their good experience in this forum
As far as they are concerned if anyone has good experience let them also post there experience ..but ultimately it will be solely on that future new immigrant based on his/her judgement
I could remember that couple of days back one member shared hos bitter experience about Bell canada service and every member are now aware and can act accordingly
So do you want we should stop posting message against someone's service openly in this forum ????

Ani,

The idea is not to stop the dissemination of information, that is actually the prime purpose of this website. The idea is to prevent the creation of 15 different new posts, all on the same topic. There is already more than one existing thread on them if you check, or in this case, had the original posted checked. For the most part, the information there would have sufficed for him/her.

If there was anything new to be asked, the poster should have posted in that same thread, rather than start a new topic.

That was my first point.

Also, a while back, Garvo had expressed his reservations about people naming specific companies while registering complaints. And rightly so, since he was worried about the legal ramifications of doing that. This becomes all the more important as Canadiandesi gains popularity, what is said here could affect someone's bottomline.

At that time we had decided that so long as someone posts their specific experiences with full details (as Sanjeev has done so well) and without NAME-CALLING, it was ok. i.e. Instead of saying "XYZ company is a worthless, pathetic no good piece of garbage", say "I was not happy with their service because....". This is why I had to edit your thread.

So the point is, if you want to narrate your experiences regarding XYZ's good/bad services, you're welcome to do so. But please be civil about it and try to present as balanced a perspective as possible. The other option is to send the poster a private email.

You've been contributing your much-valued input on Canadiandesi for quite some time now and I hope you'll take this the right way. :)
