IT Gurus,
Please comment on my proposed action plan.
1- Go to India ( SIEMENS/Genovate only) for SAP Certification.
2- Stay In India for 6 month & do 01 or 2 Full cycle project implementation
3- Come Back to Canada & look for some Job as Junior Consultant.
My questions are
1- Is it a good plan considering time & money spent?
2- Do freshers get job easily after certification in India( I have no IT experience)
3- What will be salary range in India. ( I am looking for Rs. 50,000 pm)

On the Related note, what are the propects for ORACLE ( As a Fresher in IT but with good functional experience, B. Tech. ( Mechanical), ADIM ( Finance) & more than 20 yeras experience in Oil Field/Materials)

Seimans/Genovate Charge 3 lakh for the course and clearing the certification is on ur own. It is a tall propositions considering the size of SAP system.
Lot of ppl have undergone their courses and did not have courage to get certified because the training is not sufficient. it is a 1 month full time training which is too short to absorb the information.
It will take 6 months of full time practice before u will have some confortlevel.
Most of them end up working as faculty in the smaller illegal institutes.

Getting a job in india for Full life cycle implementation will be dependant a lot on ur functional background rather than merely on the course.

SAP Job market sucks in Canada.. US/Europe is ur best bet...
If u are planning to take the SAP challenge.. i recommed giving up on everything else. Be prepared for being without a job for 1 year.
For 1-2 full implementation exp salaries are very good..

It will be difficult for me to stay without job for 01 year. Is there any field where you can do directly to job in entry level in IT after training. I am nowdays gainfully employed but I want to change line as my Job is too demanding. I am looking for entry level job after some training. I am ready to invest some money in training & hard work for 3-4 month Any suggestion please
