Hi to all CD's,
Greetings!
First of all I wud like to appreciate you all for posting valuable topics and posts.
I am in delhi (INDIA) right now and I wish to discuss that, through some consultancy in Toronto, I applied for a job in hospitality field (5 star hotel) and without being interview I have been told that I have selected for the same post (as I have valuable experience in different countries), but with some mis-communication with consultant, he told me that the hotel has withdrawn their offer letter as they dont have trust that I will turn up. But I assured the consultant that I want to do this job (it is entry level position, although I have 4-5 yr experience).
Anyways, I was able to convince the consultant and consultant again convince the hotel that I am ready to do this job. So, hotel agreed on this and was ready to re-issue me the offer letter. But after 10 days when I called the consultant that have you received the offer letter, he told me another story. He told me that the Hotel want assurance from us (Consultant) in the form of 1500 CAD as a security and for security reasons they turned the hotel down. But after listening to him, I felt that I can pay 1500 CAD and get the offer letter and work permit and after joining the hotel I will get the refund of same amount. BUT, as they do not trust me, I do not trust them. So, my the situation is very bad and i am in delima, I want my canadian dreams to be fulfilled with the job (salary as 24.75 CAD/ hr) but not able to take decision. I am not sure what to do. I am sure I donot want to waste money.
Please suggest/ Advice me, what to do? I appreciate your time and suggestions.

Dear Prince,
Thank you so much for your time, I really appreciate it.
I heard that, there is a lot of jobs in Hospitality field in Canada, may be that is why I felt that I have been selected without being interviewed and also I have multinational work experience.
Is there anyways, that I can find if this consultant is fake or ??
Please suggest?
Thank you once again.

Hi Tamanna,
One thing i am not able to understand.
Why dont you directly contact the HR department of the hotel you have been selected..
why this cat & rat race with consultant..
I believe if u have multinational experience, its not hard to communicate with the clients directly.
especially when the communication became so cheap now a days.
Well,
Let's come to the point...
send us the details of your client and consultant details (PM), will try to enquire if they have any bad remarks posted in any of the sites..
Actually you could do by yourself by googling their info.
the best bet is contact the client directly, send them an email (preferable to the manager who is going to hire you).
