The point DIO was probably trying to convey was "does Sunita Williams consider herself as an Indian?(or has she at least once - proudly and voluntarily - acknowledged her Indian origin)? ". Most probably NOT. "Then why are we overdoing these things for her?" This was his question.

Just listen this speech carefully. If she has not the heart of being an Indian he wouldnt have visited his ancestral village and Gujarat she is staying there for six days. She said that from space it was lovely to see India and India was looking green. She also said that borders are there in the mind of people and talked about principles of Gandhi.
If you feel by heart you are Indian that is a subjective matter and only you know. So how much by heart Sunita is Indian only she knows so dont try to bother evaluate her my friend.
sorry not able to attach video speech. I'll try again

You are proud that nasser hussain is from your "gaon" .... same is the case with Sunita Williams ... she is visiting her "Gaon" .. now the BIG difference in the two is that Sunita has the distinction of being a women astronaut .... a rarety in India ..... while as , to borrow a phrase from a famous cricketer, we have nasser hussains in every corner of our cities. There are far better players in cricket then him in India ....... so no chance for him to get any big reception ......so dont sweat about it ...let her enjoy enjoy & let gujjus have their fair share of celebration ...... no need to get all fired up for no reason .....
I am absolutely agreed with Putoo's post, If Mr . DIO is prouding that nassir hussain from his or her village, why we should not proud that Sunita Willaims from Gujju's Community.
Mr DIO look at your mind or in your pocket before pointing out or talking some nonsense about any community without thinking.

I agree with DIO - if she s not Indian why are Indians going gaga over her ?? fading shades of colonialism ...
