Hi to all of you,
I have done BE and MBA from India and I have a teaching experience both at grad and undergrad level for more than 3.5 years. Now I want to do Ph.D. And I am exploring the various universities in US and Canada for this but till now I haven't been able to find a single site which can list ALL the business schools in North America which offer phd in Business Administration/Management/Marketing or a website which can give a detailed comparison of their requirements like average GMAT score and the research work going on in various universities along with percentage of admitted students getting some form of aid. So I am really confused in shortlisting the universities to which I should send my GMAT score.
I will be really greatful if any one can show me the right path.

Thanks a lot freakoutguy.

I have already gone through allbusinessschools.com, it doesn't cover all the business schools offering PhD. But the second link that you have provided seems to be informative one. Once again thanks a lot.

Try

http://www.petersons.com" rel="nofollow">LINK

Its a pretty comprehensive site.

Please note - if you plan to live in Canada but plan to study in the USA,- you may wish to do some Labour market research to see if a degree from that school is recognized here.

Thanks a lot morning_rain. The site indeed is a comrehensive one. Hopefully I will be able to shortlist few universities after going through it.

Tell me is there any harm if I start corressponding with the universities.

Can anyone share his or her experience reagrding doctoral admissions, like what GMAT score they got and which universities offered them admission, or any other tips........... Any kind of help is welcome

There should not be any harm corresponding with prospective universities. In fact, it will shed a positive light by demonstrating your interest. Get in touch with professors who teach doctoral courses. Strike a rapport with them. Discuss your research plans.

The GMAT score has lesser weightage for Ph.D as compared to MBA admissions. Still, you should be looking for a minimum score of 600 to get into a decent program. Since, you have a teaching background, that will definitely help you score points with the admissions committee.

In terms of tuition and scholarships, almost every credible Ph.D program will give you a full tuition waiver and a stipend that will meet your basic necessities (average of around $20,000 pa)

Hope this helps

Thanks once again. I am working on shortlisting universities. Since you guys are there in Canada, could you please tell which universities are famous for PhD in business and management and also which are not the recommended ones :)
