I saw your site which says pharma is hot, I am a 35 yr old Indian working for last 15yrs in India in an MNC. Have worked in Sales & positions during this tenure what are my chances. I have been trying tofigure out before I make up my mind to apply for immigration to canada, However i am Keen to do so.
I am also willing to take up other suitable jobs of similar kinds. If required I am willing to retrain or reeducate myself for a related field for a period of 3 to 6 months with a part time job to sustain while I do the same. I have a family support in Toronto, my younger brother is in Toronto for last few yrs following his marriage to canadian citizen of indian origin

The current waiting time from application to approval as I have heard is not less that 3-4 years.

You should take that into account and then position yourself in that situation now - age 39, 20 yrs of experience, and perhaps a family with teenage children. Sit down on a rocking chair, close your eyes and imagine that you are ready to leave for Canada - and if your first feeling is that you will have the same energy to try out in a new land with the same vigour, Canada is the land for you.

Don't make a mistake of putting yourself in the shoes of your YOUNGER brother who is already in Canada, which obviously means he came at a young age, and with less (probably) baggage than yourself relating to experience, family obligations, physical strength, hierarchy in professional field, and things that go with it.

You must be well settled in India and you will have to start from scratch here in Canada. Then you may have to get your degrees evaluated and do some study. Most of employers might say you do not have "Canadian experience." Then you might or might not get the job you desire. If you get a job you want it might be good else you will regret your decision to come to Canada. So much struggle at the age of 39! Do you think it is worth it?
