Hi Folks,
Please suggest any good daycares in Mississuga Area for 9-months baby.
Thanks
Pantar
Hi Pantar,
This is one of the best links that I have come across and it will be of immense help and use to those who seek similar services.
You normally will have to do your own private and confidential inquiries from the current and the previous users of these facilities, as the level of services provided will not be that classy if the people who serve there are not experienced or who are lacadaisical in their behaviour. Ask them if they will provide you with a few contacts, either Desi people or some one in YOUR own neighborhood. See if they have a Doctor or a Nurse ON CALL too.
You will notice the same when your child is sick or is irritated by some other incidents that occur and notices it in there. Since they cannot express themselves in clear terms to give you a good picture, due to their ages and a lack of vocabulary, things get lost in translation. So do your own due diligence. Please follow up each and every day as to what the child did in there (each and every day, without fail)
Note down the costs and the times of operation and the penalties if the time limits are not observed or broken. Some times it is a killer.(finacncially)
Also get in detail the kids activity for each day, conducted by them, either indoors or the outdoors and ask if they are well supervised and monitored too.
They will also provide you with a list of things not supposed to bring, such as peanut butter, nuts, sharp toys and objects of that nature. They will also ask you for a set of change for the infant or the child. Get all of this in a list form.
Last but not the least, see if you are locked in with them for a certain period or you can walk away if you find that you don't like their services or do not require the same due to exingencies. (Circumstances beyoind your control)
There is a group on this website that discussed these items some time back and it is available to you, (if you do the search you will find the same.)
I did visit one one of the facilities, just recently, and it is run behind the Walmart at 203 Giorgian, one street before the intersection of Dundas Street and Trafalgar Street (going North) and it was during the summer months, It is in a NEW building. A visit will be well worth it to get to know how well they are operating the same there. You will also get an idea of the costs etc.,

Peekabookid is the best I feel. Check out its website for locations. They have many locations in Mississauga.

Hope this helps!
In my experience, Rainbow Garden Learning Centre at Aimco Blvd is very good. I liked it even better than Peekaboo. It has an indoor gym where the kids go if the weather is bad. In Peekaboo (Dixie Location), there are no indoor gyms and even quite bad weather conditions the little kids have to go out. The staff at Rainbow Garden is excellant. My son is going there for about 1.5 years now. And I intend to keep him there till he is ready for grade One.
Following the complaints of parents who want the names of licensed day-care centers who have been warned for flouting regulations to be made public, the Ontario Government has put up this site which lists all day-care centres and whether they are meeting provincial standards.
