Watched The Namesake recently. It is such a beautiful film by Mira Nair. Dislocation and loss of home are well depicted in this movie. Also, the way Irfan Khan and Tabu respond differently to their memories of India is interesting. The underlying gentleness and beauty of Bengali culture stands out in this film. The most arty thing I liked in this movie was how Tabu treasures the dream of learning Indian classical music and when her husband, Irfan passes away in the movie, she goes back to India to realize her life long dream. Good work, Mira Nair !
Hi Mungeri Lal
You have described the movie watching experience explicitly. "The Namesake" is very meaningful for people like us, who are away from our home.....acting by lead actors was very good... a thoroughly enjoyable film
