Dear CDs
I am a Chemical Engineer and I am planning to become a member of CIC. But in the application form they are asking to mention the name of a CIC member as reference.
Can some one help in this regard.
1.I can as a Full Member be your reference. Please send to me a PMail with your telephone number.
2.Other than obtaining cheap insurance from Meloche Monnex this institute is of no other purpose. If you talk to the local convener of Toronto for jobs she will tell you about the Catch 22 situation of obtaining Canadian Experience.Even their monthly newsletter is a big BS. They talk about scientific accomplishment in 1950's-60's and nothing to blow their horns in 2007. If you do not trust me I can send you the old issues free of charge and if it was India I could made some money selling it of to Raddhiwallah.
If you are really looking at upgrading your resume, networking and moving on with your career I'll strongly suggest you to become a member of the American Chemical Society, Washington, USA.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
