As told by all, I think that it is best that you do not come to Canada as of now.
The better option is to come as an Investor during your retirement time and invest in some good pension and stay on Old age Security (kindly see the time required to stay in Canada to get these benefits. None of them - except Welfare- come by immediately. Welfare for you will be $517 / person or around $850 if it is for Husband and wife) This will be peanuts to you. Also you can get provisions from the food bank which can get you by.
What Chandresh has said is good but his points are more about himself and not general in nature. Please browse though CD for positive as well as negetive comments of this country and see if you can fit in.
As i see, your main drawback is the lack of Technical qualification. You did not mention your husband's qulaification . Is he a CA from India or is he a B.com and who is an accountant due to his service? In the case of the latter it is 100% sure that you should not come to Canada. What ever course you take to upgrade yourself can get you only a $10 job and can guarentee ONLY an entry level job. Unless you are as clever as Bill gates, Warren Buffet, Jin goodnight, it is very hard to come up in Canada.
Please donot think that i am insulting you or anything like that. As your daughter might have pointed out, this is the current situation in Canada (Except for people in IT, where even a Diploma holder is having a 60K job). Please do your own due deligence.

I am a ex Gulfi so my advice is continue staying in Kuwait as much as you can make the money and then when u r daughter starts working here then come permanently here and retire. Then you will need lots of money to enjoy your retired life.

My son has a pair of budgies. Sometimes I am tempted to just open the cage and let them free. However I don't because I know that they will perish as they are used to living in captivity.
If you don't already feel suffocated living in a racial and a society full of uncivilized 'locals' in Kuwait, you will not feel comfortable in Canada.

Exactly ... But I did not see this as an Issue with OP.
I came out of Gulf purely because of this reason. But again, I am younger than him - so priorities & thinking are different.

How can you presume I have not filed my taxes all these years. Just for your information.... I have an accountant in Canada who has been filing our returns since last three years as per the Canadian laws. I also have my own lawyer in Canada who has been advising me on our PR status etc.

Nice to know you are paying tax since it benefits Canadian economy :D

Now you are asking me what benefit immigrants such as me will bring to Canada. Just for your information we have put a big amount as deposit for our daughter in Canada for which we are not getting any interest.

I am not talking about the fee you are paying. Even international student pay fee. As a matter of fact they pay higher fees. The discount your daughter gets in paying the fee as a permanant resident is what I am talking about

When we retire, we can bring in a even bigger amount as deposits.

Well... if my daughter is getting education in Canada, it is not free... we are paying for it.... and after she gets a Canadian passport it is up to her to give what she wants to the Canadian society.

Maple Asian.. your reply is very rude .. well I do not care what you think of immigrants like me.

My reply was just a thought provoking question. After all, I don't care what you do - The Canadian government's rules allow what you are doing so I am not here to judge you .

All I am questioning is how much beneficial it is to the economy. The Federal government needs to fix the broken immigration system - if the system cannot give proper jobs to well qualified immigrants then why in the first place do they allow you to immigrate?

While Chandreshji gave a very detailed advice, I can tell without any second thought:
Do Not come here. It will be suicidal to your career and finances given your age , experience, current job and qualification.

question.

IF you want to do more housework etc why dont you do it> Why do you have to come to Canada to do it?

Everyone here can only give you their opinions that will never be one hundred percent right for you. My suggestion is that you take a vacation and come over to Canada and see the situation for yourself. At least that way you can decide with both your heart AND your head.

good luck.
