Hi,
We are planning to move to Canada preety soon.
Just wanted to know that how is SAP job market in Canada for a person having 8 years experience in it.
What are the best locations as far as SAP jobs (Toronto, Vancouver, Alberta or Calgary). ?
How much salary can i expect to get with my experience. ?
Will appreciate if you can pass me contact details of good recruiting companies in Canada.
Thanks.
I guess it is a mixed market as far a Toronto goes.
The last company I worked with worked with clients who may have had SAP implementations and we had to map our s/w product to their requirements.
While the current company I am working with is very SAP oriented as in its consultancy.
We are always hiring too..so I can drop ur resume internally if you wish.
u can write to me at this username at hotmail
All the very best

In my company we had two openings in MM and QM.Those positions were opened for almost a month. We couldn't get even a good resume and last week recruited internal business analyst ,we'll train them to be a SAP expert I guess no one actually would like to move to Montreal
Other than Accenture also check with CGI and IBM.If you have 8+ year SAP experience you should get a job pretty quickly, independent consultancy could also be a very good option for you ..I could help you in getting some interviews once you land here.
bgg:With 8+ experience and good implentation experience across different industry you could expect in the range of 80k -120K for a full time job. Most of my friends who are working as a independent consultant charging $120-$140 per hour
Thanks

Ans:It depends on your profile and how good you can present yourself during interview.Comparing US employers here in Canada softskills play a very critical role

Ansepend on province you're working and your marital status ...you can expect take home could be about 65K-70k
Q3. As asked by Rattandeep which are the best cities from SAP Jobs perspective, can you please rank the cities mentioned by Rattandeep. ?
Ans:Toronto,Ottawa,Montreal,Calgury,Vancouver

Ans:Major difference I surfaced here in Canada is lack of professionalism and too much layers for any decision making. This is more visible if work with any big company.Canada I believe is great for independent consultancy ..but for that you need guts and confidence about your capabilities.
Basically Canada is great for long term settlement and if you're ready to sacrifice little bit about career challenge front life is pretty smooth comparing US
