Yes, I am in the mortgage business..and I am NOT surprised at all as I help my clients in getting a mortgage with in days /weeks of landing all the times. And I congratulated you on buying your 'dream home' so fast.

I do not think buying a house is difficult and specially in Canada where government incentives are quite supportive...

Yes it is not difficult at all and with so many innovative mortgage products and options by banks and CMHC/GE/AIG etc. people can buy the house here in Canada even without a credit history and in some cases even without landing here.

Take care

Rose

Exactly.. that's my point. If some one has done genuinely good job then he/she must be praised. However, we have seen most of the times people use this type of language at this forum specially in their very first postings only to promote some one or themselves behind the stage and hence these types of postings though may be genuine are taken with a pinch of salt. I hope you understand.

Take care.

Hi Rose 16;

Nice to know about your experiences. Will you please share more of them, about your life in US and then selecting Canada to settle down.
I was 42, when landed in Canada six years back. Immigration system gave maximum marks for this age but Canadian Job system gave negative marks. In six years, remained on labor jobs for 3 years, underpaid engineering job for 3 months and on EI (intermittently) for more than 2.5 years. Then got a good and honorable job in my field, with a big brother company. Now Canada is my home (minus Job) and I plan to return home some 20 years after.
And of course, your user name suggests, you are young at heart.

hi rose,

Could you tell us why you have chosen Canada over USA? The criteria and factors you have taken into consideration, how canada scored over USA?

Thanks.

Hello there, No we are not planning to work anymore and will be enjoying life with few very close friends who reside in Miss and Brampton. We are second couple from this group who shifted to Canada :-) no second thought about moving here :-)

USA is great place to live too we lived in New Jersey for about 16 years....... and before that in Dubai.

Have been on roll since we are out from college.....

Rose.
