In short, limit your sugar intake - no sugar in tea/coffee or use moderate amounts of Splenda.

Strictly follow your diet - it should consist of low glycemic index food, lot of fruit and green vegetables.

I am On Metaformen but its not helping much,Do you guys tried any Unani/Homeapathi


I belive in practice then Medicine

I am a Type 2 diabetic as well, but I do not take any medicine as I control it with diet.

A low Carb / Low GI diet is very helpful. If I eat abit too many carbs, cinnamon in tea or even in some food helps it come down quickly! Same with Karela.

Exersize helps too. IF your blood sugar is too high go take a brisk walk and you'll see it come down a few points.

Sugar is only 5 carbs / teaspoon. You should limit it however can have it in moderate amounts.

I also moniter very regularly. it helps you see the rise of ur BG after a meal.

- Normal (e.g. Basmati) Rice: High GI food - avoid it
- Parboiled rice: Low GI food.
- Dal: Low/medium GI depending upon the type. E.g. Chana dal has a very low GI.
- Chapati - (assuming it is wheat) high GI.
- Tea with Splenda and milk : Low GI.
