"LUCKNOW: A party formed by a group of ex-IITians has witnessed a vertical split ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

The Lok Paritran Party (LPP) formed by a group of ex-IITians in 2005 has split and a Bharat Punarnirman Dal (BPD) has been formed by the splinter group and two are all set to come face-to-face in the ensuing electoral battle."

Again, why does this article need to be posted on CanadianDesi? What're you hoping to get out of this?

Please do not post newspaper articles without posting your opinion or what you're hoping to get out of this. We don't want to make CD another samachar.

BL,
I had to post the link as a reference just like others who have posted links from newspapers. My comment was under the line. Please suggest how I can change my posts in future.

DIO, to post direct Links you got to be a Member of SNS. And to qualify for the membership, you'll have to start posting Complete Article and not just Links. As a member of SNS, you won't be Questioned on usefulness of any Articles to fellow CDs.

DIO,

I didn't take any objection until I noticed recently that the majority of posts on the main page were newspaper links. Yes, everybody posts these once in a while, I'm just asking you to be selective in the links you post. I don't want to make rules on counts and things like that, please use your discretion based on relevance to the forum in general and also please monitor the frequency with which you post these.

Also, when you post a link, please include your comments on how you're hoping to engage other members. If people started posting articles left and right just as FYIs, we will eventually end up with a samachar kind of a site and I'm sure you'll agree that's not the idea.

Alternatively, start one thread and post all your links in that one. I won't have an issue with this.

Thanks in advance for your co-operation.
