The Canadian health system is outdated. That is the Government is the sole provider of health care. Only 2 or 3 countries in the entire world have it. Canada, Cuba , North Korea.

Any Hint ?? Any lessons learned ??

All 98% of countries cannot be wrong.

In India, there is Govt & Private health care. People who cannot afford go to Govt care and people who can afford go to Private.

However, here in Canada, the system makes the people wait . Even the ones that can afford to get out of the line are made to stay in line thus causing the line to remain longer.

True. There is no reason why rich people should stay in Canada and be stuck with the lousy health care system
Come to India.
World class care for third world rates.
I recently stepped into a hospital inside a city. I was not sure if I was in Canada or India , if not for the nurses and doctors who were all 100% Indian.
Same kind of food as they serve in Canada was served.
Bills are reasonable and anyways they are covered 100% (with out any deductible) by my employer.
Bill was like :
Consultation Rs 300
EEG (Not ECG) Rs. 1100
Registration 1 time Rs 200 (Rs 100 for children)
lab tests (some 10 complicated tests) Rs. 900 (Results came in 1 hour)

Peace

Wait till you see the hospitals milk you. This happened to my father and MIL. By the time you retire 1 crore will be just for 5 days stay in the hospital without medicine and doctor charges. Mind you 1 crore is for you and your wife which is 50 lakhs each. You will run to Canada then . That is why lot of south east Asians want their parents to come here.

Not to pick on you but:
Do you think that it is that easy for canadians settled abroad to get easy access to medical care in Canada?
Do you think that with a heart attack or By pass surgery needed,I can come to Ontario , wait for 3 months, find a doctor willing to take me and be treated? Am i that naive?
1 crore is a big thing in India.yet a plot of land in chennai is in excess of 1 crore but medical care is cheap.
In a canada type hospital they charge only Rs 300 for consultation, 1100 for EEG etc..
India medical care is like Walmart of the west. Very affordable.
Thanks for your concern though. Based on this I would like many Indians to immigrate to Canada to get access to their free , efficient and plentyful health care.
peace
