Yeah thanks for pointing that out, I didn't realize that when I first responded because it was at the top of the forum. I left my response because the link is still a good article, who knows maybe someone will use it.

Sir,

I agree with you completely . Three doctors failed to cure my wife and she had to call back home and consult her family doc who advised her and then I sent her the medicines from India. It worked.

Canadian Medical System is just average.

Prateet,

I would rather say that it is 'below average'.

It's good that we immigrants have a backup, i.e. to visit India if nothing else works. However, for an average Joe in Canada it's hopeless.

Until it reforms(highly unlikely in my lifetime), try to be healthy by indulging in healthy eating habits and regular exercising. Above all else, reduce the stress as all ills stem from it.

I have to disagree..

I have had a major shoulder surgery and am back playing sports and living a active life.. Did not pay a dime..

My neighbor who is almost bankrupt had a angioplasty done within 3 days of a heart attack for free, If this was back home the guy would have had to borrow money to get the procedure done..

My kid is just discharged from Sick Kids. Here health system really really sucks...Doctors are not capable to fix. I called Doctors in India and based on the report, they can figure it out what problem and what medicine to give. It took 5 to 6 weeks to figure it out the exact problem here in Canada. Worst system i have ever seen!

I wonder at times, these doctors are really dr? They are not worth to cure. Only big hosipital like sick kids can cure them espcially for kids. Unless if you die in next few hours, they will treat it as a urgent all others have to wait and make them worst!
