Hello,
I have searched on charcha in this respect, but to no avail, therefore this query -
can we use lamps made for 220v, in Canada by merely changing the plug and the bulb and leaving the wiring as it is? Logically I guess it should work, but....
Request clarifications from someone who has tried this out, either successfully (or unsuccessfully :-)).
The reason for this query is to figure out whether we can move our lamps with us to Canada, or should we send them to India.

How about getting a power adapter like this one ?

Thank you for the link.
well yes, but it may be cheaper to just change the plugs and bulbs and doing so would allow portability in the house (if it works).

Though I am not too sure but you may have to change the wire as wires for 110 V will have to be thicker and not too sure of bulb holder. Screw type holders are the most common ones here.
Is it worth the hassle?
