It's all over the news - the first time I have seen such an advisory in North America. This is due to the floods and torrential rains that have hit the lower mainland.

Bottled water sales are way up. I just grabbed the last few remaining Aquafina bottles at a nearby store!

We ended up boiling water.

Did you lose electricity? We had no electricity for 30 hours!

No, we didn't lose electricity, thank goodness! No electricity for 30 hours is pretty bad! Especially for homes with electric stove, how can you even boil the water? Looks like it's been worse in the coastal areas and the Fraser valley.

I boiled it after our electricity came back.

we could have used our barbeque for it though..we have a side burner...
