Here is my analysis of the song and the Orchestra that goes with it.

Beautiful rendition of a SUFI song of the Moghul Era..:

Performed by two well known musicians, who also visited us here in the year 2008 in Montreal.

Though the music is from a different era, the lyrics are blended with Sanskrit and Urdu and it has all the making with strong accents of a Gujarathi song with a few PARSI overtones in it. The DUO swings into action with typical Classical Indian aalap and the band plays in sync with them. They explore the full range of that raga from bottom up, to the top of its scale and ripping it into pieces. And nothing beats the singing a song with half a plug of pan supari stuck in the cheecks of the mouth of the lead singer, USTAD!

The band consists of Tablas, violin, and then enters the FUSION side of it, drums, the cymbals, the base and lead guitar and a string of back ground vocalists, right in sync with the master.

It was SIXTEEN Minutes of pure pleasure and only knew it was going to end with that one final nod.

Here is an interesting event being held for those who know and understand the intricacies of the language and the SUFI Music and poetry in particular, and it is being held on the 27th AUGUST 2016 at
Burnhamthorpe Community Center in Mississauga, and the location where it will be held is at
1500 Gulleden Drive and it lasts the whole evening with a few performances too and the entrance is $12 per person.

Nice to know how well the community is organized and enjoy such musical performances too.
