Any desi kids in Catholic Schools?

Parents, can you share your experience? How good they are and is there any difference in the quality of education between public and catholic school boards specifically from 7 grade onwards?

I have 2 sons in High School - one going to a public school and the other to a catholic school. I am happier with the environment in the catholic school - more disciplined and focussed on studies. Sort of like some convent schools back in India. It also helps that they have a uniform and children do not focus on their appearance.

Most "desi" kids I know here are in Catholic schools.

Catholic schools are much better any day than the regular public schools.

do not hesitate to send children to catholic schools

Catholic Schools receive lesser funding from government then the public schools.

Our city has 11 Public schools and 6 Catholic schools ,so naturally people prefer Public schools to Catholic schools.

One of my friend's daughter joined a catholic school in ottawa (7th grade). I am told that in the first week (this week) itself they got cops with sniffer dogs looking for drugs in the school. First they closed all the doors and windows so that none of it are thrown out during the raid. Also others outside would not know what is going on in the school (the school authorities dont want outsiders to know abt teh drug/sniffing raid).

So much for it.
