Amit,

Thanks for your response. While Brampton seem to appear a choice, Milton goes completely out of scope as it is nearly impossible to work in Downtown Toronto and live in Milton spending most of the time in the train or get stifled by the traffic if chosen to drive.

Milton dwellers, How is your experience on commuting to Downtown for work.

Thanks.

The prices that you have mentioned are almost same when you compare Peel and Halton regions. In Brampton and Milton, detached homes (36' and 1600-1700 sqft) start at 300K.

More first time buyers/ new immigrants enter the market.

Regards,

Milton is a good choice in the West. Many of my clients who have moved to Milton are contented with their home buying decision. Milton GO line is perfect way to commute to downtown Toronto.

Hi,

- Any body know some good websites (other sources) where homes are advertised privately (in the sense not going through agent)? I googled and found couple of websites but not quite sure about their feedback and popularity.

- Any website that lists the recent sale details of homes in specific area, this could be used as a baseline to draw your limits.

Thanks.

Did you know that 99% of homes are bought and sold on real estate board's MLS system, via organised real estate by Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) — which represents almost 88,000 Realtors in 99 real estate boards across Canada.

Wonder why?

Housing forecast for the year 2007 is now available. Please go to
cmhc's website and follow the links.
the main theme is that the interest rates will say around where they are and that because the rates are historically low and the job market is good the hous prices are not expected to correct drastically. that is the opinion in the reports and not my opinion.

Happy to look forward within: next 2 years

1. Interest rates are going to come down by next year end. So keeping this in mind try to take 1 year closed mortagage. ING give best rates.

2. Stay away from buying CONODS !!!!

3. Ontartio economy is cooling down. Bad year for Ontrario in 2007. But economy will pick up in 2008.

4. Dont worry about US economy affecting Canadian economy. It not going to affect Canadian economy. Canadian economy is in diffrent ball game now.

So there are lot of things to cheer about.
